In such a high-stakes environment, every detail matters – from the placement of medical equipment to the accessibility of critical supplies. A poor use of design and materials can lead to delays, inefficiencies, and even compromised patient outcomes.

Building on the experience of previous Cath Lab projects at the Trust, Stirling Medical were pleased to be invited once again to support the fit-out of the new lab spaces.
Cath Lab 3 presented particular challenges with space constraints around critical equipment. To help address these, we supplied tall, plinth-mounted and mobile Systeméd Catheter cabinets with sliding glass doors. This approach reduced the need for door swing clearance, improved stock visibility compared with tambour options, and supported a cleaner, more efficient layout.
In addition, perforated doors with extra ventilation slots were incorporated into the design, helping to enhance passive cooling for the equipment.
