Clinical Area

A&E

A&E is an intense environment where heavy usage and rapid stock turnaround times are the norm.

In Accident and Emergency departments supplies and equipment must be readily available at all times to respond to unpredictable patient volumes, ranging from minor injuries to life-threatening emergencies.

Reliable workflows, supported by well-designed cabinetry and smart storage solutions, are vital to keeping essential supplies accessible at speed. Strong systems, clear communication, and effective organisation enable staff to work efficiently and deliver high-quality care, even under unpredictable demand.

Royal Sussex County Hospital – AMU

We have recently delivered a system-wide, turnkey fitted furniture solution for the newly commissioned Acute Medical Unit expansion at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.

Our Systeméd modular furniture range formed the core of the solution, providing robust, standardised storage across the unit. This was complemented by tailored cabinetry, integrated drug and medicines storage, and selective customised joinery where required to support the hospital’s expanded medical assessment capacity. Completed in 2025, the result is a high-performance, future-ready clinical environment that aligns seamlessly with urgent-care workflows, enhances staff efficiency and improves patient flow.
