CDCs offer critical diagnostic services — like MRI, CT, ultrasound, X-rays, and blood tests — in easily accessible, non-hospital settings.
They’re often located in local hubs, retail parks, or standalone facilities to bring healthcare closer to the people who need it.

Southlands CDC Phase 2
The Southlands Hospital Community Diagnostic Centre project, contracted by Morgan Sindall, involves the development of a state-of-the-art facility aimed at enhancing diagnostic services for the local community.
The development involved demolishing a previous structure and constructing a new facility equipped with:
-
Four state-of-the-art ultrasound rooms
-
Two dedicated echo treatment rooms
-
Two lung function testing rooms
-
A specialised gynaecological treatment area
Since it's initial opening in October 2023, the CDC has served over 60,000 patients, contributing significantly to reducing wating times and providing timely diagnostics.
