UCLan School of Veterinary Medicine
The recently completed new School of Veterinary Medicine project was a hybrid redevelopment and new-build initiative that will provide a state-of-the-art learning centre for students studying a wide range of programmes across veterinary and animal sciences. It has been a great success, achieving the desired outcomes for the client by delivering a purpose-built facility that supports modern veterinary education. A key element of the project’s success was our flexible and tailored design approach. We introduced modular storage solutions, allowing teaching spaces to be easily adapted or repurposed as the school’s needs evolve over time. In addition, we developed bespoke items—such as custom-designed dissection tables—that could not be sourced elsewhere, ensuring the school’s specific functional requirements were fully met. Our responsive design service also proved invaluable, enabling the client to visualise layout and design changes quickly and make informed decisions throughout the process.
